Architectural Designer
BArch&Design 2013-2016 | Ma.Arch 2017-2019
Rosie Namara practices at the intersection of art, architecture, and community, working across disciplines on Whadjuk Boodja, Walyalup (Fremantle, Western Australia) and on the lands of the Kulin Nation, Naarm (Melbourne, Victoria). With a Master of Architecture and over a decade of experience, she shapes design not as an object alone, but as a relationship, to land, to story, to place.
Growing up and working on Noongar country, Rosie has contributed to creative projects and design firms that support local communities including the Perth International Airport with the Peter Farmer Team, a Noongar entry sculpture and digital place artwork, the Collie Mural Trail with To&Fro Studios, a collaborative project embedding a unique sense of belonging into public space, and the INCOMING program for the Fremantle Biennale, a site-responsive contemporary arts festival.
She currently collaborates with award winning Noongar artist Peter Farmer and specialised design firm Little Rhino Designs, collectively designs public artworks and interior designs. There, she brings architectural knowledge into close collaboration, documenting interior architecture and public art projects through 3D modelling software, AutoCAD detailing for fabrication and engineering, and finalising in the Adobe Suite.
